The challenge
The company needed to improve both sides of its customer acquisition process: generating qualified opportunities and consistently following up with those opportunities after they entered the sales pipeline. Before the project, the company averaged 35 qualified leads per month, with an average cost per lead of $68. Improving lead volume without allowing acquisition costs to rise was an important part of the growth objective. The lead management process also presented an opportunity for improvement, with a more structured CRM and automated follow-up system providing a way to reduce reliance on manual lead handling.
Project goal
Build a more effective lead-generation and follow-up system that could generate more qualified inquiries while improving advertising efficiency and creating a more consistent process for managing new leads.
Solution summary
We combined Google Ads management with CRM lead follow-up automation to improve the company's acquisition and lead-management process. The approach focused on generating more qualified inquiries while lowering cost per lead and supporting consistent follow-up.
Strategy
Rather than treating advertising and lead management as separate activities, the strategy connected the two parts of the customer acquisition journey. Google Ads was used as the primary paid acquisition channel, with campaign management focused on improving the efficiency of qualified lead generation. At the same time, CRM lead follow-up automation was introduced to support what happened after an inquiry was generated, creating a more systematic follow-up process and reducing dependence on entirely manual lead handling.
Implementation
We managed the company's Google Ads campaigns with the objective of increasing qualified lead volume while improving cost efficiency. Campaign performance was managed around the quality and cost of incoming leads rather than simply maximizing traffic. We also implemented automated lead follow-up through the company's CRM to create a more consistent process for handling new inquiries and reduce reliance on manual follow-up.
Results & outcomes
Following implementation of the Google Ads management and CRM follow-up system, average monthly qualified leads increased from 35 to 72 over the four-month project period, an approximately 106% increase. At the same time, average cost per lead decreased from $68 to $44, representing an approximately 35% reduction. The CRM automation also established a more structured approach to lead follow-up, reducing dependence on a completely manual process.
